The 2nd quarter downsizing numbers have been announced\nand rolled out to the affected Premises Technicians in Local 9003. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
For our local, there are 7 affected members; 5 out of 61\nin the Beverly Hills Garage and 2 out of 41 in the Canoga Park Garage. There are no other garages that are impacted\nin Local 9003. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
The company is offering all of the technicians in these\ngarages the ability to volunteer to leave with severance pay.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
If any technicians decide to take the offer and are not\nthe least senior affected technicians in the garage, this will result in the\n\u201csaving\u201d of an affected least senior employee. \n<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Also being offered is the opportunity to voluntarily\nrelocate to he Bay Area with an incentive of a $2,500 bonus if you accept the\ntransfer and an additional $2,500 after 6 months at the new location. If any of the non-affected employees decide\nto take this offer, this too, will \u201csave\u201d a least senior, affected employee.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
