Contract Negotiations<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>DALLAS, June 30, 2019 &#8212; AT&amp;T\nhas reached two tentative agreements with the Communications Workers of America\nin AT&amp;T Corp (CWA Telecommunications and Technologies unit) wireline\ncontract negotiations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The AT&amp;T Corp. agreement\ncovers employees across the country, including USVI. A small agreement also was\nreached on the AT&amp;T Corp. (CWA Telecommunications and Technologies unit)\nPuerto Rico contract, which covers a handful of wireline employees in Puerto\nRico. The two four-year agreements collectively cover about 3,000 employees and\nwill be submitted to the union\u2019s membership for ratification votes in coming\ndays.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The company has now reached 19\nfair agreements since 2017 with the unions representing its employees,\ncollectively covering over 88,000 employees.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">AT&amp;T,\nCWA Reach Tentative Agreements in Midwest Contract Negotiations<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>DALLAS, June 30, 2019 &#8212; AT&amp;T\nhas reached two tentative agreements with the Communications Workers of America\nDistrict 4 in Midwest CWA wireline contract negotiations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Midwest agreement covers\nemployees in Illinois, Indiana, Michigan, Ohio, and Wisconsin. A small\nagreement also was reached on the SBC Global Services\/AT&amp;T Corp.-COS\ncontract, which covers certain employees in Michigan. The two four-year\nagreements collectively cover about 8,000 employees and will be submitted to\nthe union\u2019s membership for ratification votes in coming days.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The company has now reached 19\nfair agreements since 2017 with the unions representing its employees,\ncollectively covering over 88,000 employees.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h1 class=\"wp-block-heading\">CWA\/AT&amp;T Midwest Bargaining Report #99<\/h1>\n\n\n\n<p>July 1, 2019<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/district4.cwa-union.org\/sites\/default\/files\/styles\/node_featured_304x163\/public\/images\/news\/bargainingreportfeaturedimage_0.png?w=640&#038;ssl=1\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>July 1, 2019<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Fighting\nToday\u2026Focused on the Future!<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Bargaining team is currently working\non a detailed summary for the contract explanation meeting for Local\nPresidents, which will be held on Tuesday, July 9th.\nThe detailed information will then be shared with membership.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The following is a short summary of some\nhighlights from the tentative agreement.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u00b7&nbsp;General Wage Increase of 10.50% for all\ntitles covered in the Midwest agreement over the life of the agreement. 3%\nRetroactive from February 5th, 2019, 3% at ratification and 2.25% on\nApril 12, 2020 and 2.25% on April 11, 2021.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u00b7&nbsp;1% increase in each year of the\nagreement to Pension Bands (For a total of 4% over the term of the agreement),\nmaintained BCB2 Pension plan for existing employees and new hires.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u00b7&nbsp;Maintained Traditional Health Care Plan\nand all ancillary benefits with 29% cost share for term of agreement. Moved\n2015 new hires into the current employee plan, resulting in lower out of pocket\ncosts for these individuals.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u00b7&nbsp;Protected Article 26 and associated\nMOA\u2019s, including ESC and EEOP.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u00b7&nbsp;Improvements to Appendix A13\n(Monitoring).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u00b7&nbsp;A commitment to increase headcount at\nDayton and Southfield call centers by at least 50.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u00b7&nbsp;Maintained Appendix A6 (Success Sharing\nPlan).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u00b7&nbsp;Maintained all overtime provisions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u00b7&nbsp;Maintained neutrality, card check and\nsuccessorship language.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u00b7&nbsp;New letter on providing Paid Parental\nLeave.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u00b7&nbsp;Appendix F improvements including:\nseniority language under 7.03 (Force Adjustment), meal reimbursement without\nreceipts, improvements in guaranteed personal time off, increased layoff\nnotification and allowance, a commitment to discuss contracted out DirecTV work\nto address any planned future force reductions, and no change in job duties.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u00b7&nbsp;Appendix G will be merged into the main\nagreement.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Your elected bargaining team and\nDistrict 4 Vice President, Linda L.
