This week, CWA members and retirees joined a town hall call with\nCWA President Chris Shelton, CWA District 9 Vice President Frank Arce, and CWA\nGeneral Counsel Pat Shea to discuss the possible bankruptcy situation at\nFrontier Communications.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We can work together to improve operations\nso customers are getting timely service and the company can bring in new\nbusiness. Bernie showed no interest in engaging with us on any issues that are\nimportant to our members. He’s looking to shut us out until all the decisions\nhave been made.” Shelton urged everyone on the call to leave messages with\ntheir supervisors requesting the new CEO meet with the union.<\/p>\n\n\n\n “It’s\ncritical that Frontier members in California and across the country stand up and\ntake action now. Frontier retirees also need to be engaged in this fight as\nwell. The company can make decisions that impact retirement benefits in\nbankruptcy. This is an all hands on deck situation,” said Arce.
