Dear Colleagues: <\/p>\n\n\n\n

This is to\nremind you that the application process for the CWA Joe Beirne Foundation\u2019s\nscholarship for the 2020-2021 school year will close on April 30, 2020. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Attached you will find a copy of\nthe Beirne Foundation scholarship rules, along with a copy of the poster that\ncan be distributed to members and posted on the local websites. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Foundation\u2019s Board of Directors\nhas approved the awarding of sixteen (16) partial college scholarships of\n$4,000 each for two years. Eligible for the\nscholarships are CWA members, their spouses, children, and grandchildren,\nincluding the dependents of retired, laid-off, or deceased members.\nApplications will be available solely online for submission on the Foundation\u2019s\nwebsite at http:\/\/cwa-union.org\/beirne-application<\/a>.\n<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Please follow this link at www.cwa-union.org\/beirneposter<\/a> for the poster that you can\ndistribute to members and post on local websites to encourage participation.\nFull program details can be found on the website. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

This valuable scholarship program\nis made possible by the funding of CWA locals. For those locals not yet\nparticipating in funding the Beirne scholarships, I urge you to do so.\nFinancial arrangements can be made to accommodate your local\u2019s needs. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
