{"id":4999,"date":"2020-07-09T17:03:49","date_gmt":"2020-07-10T00:03:49","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.cwa9003.org\/?p=4999"},"modified":"2020-10-01T18:23:38","modified_gmt":"2020-10-02T01:23:38","slug":"att-esro-moa-20-21a","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/www.cwa9003.org\/?p=4999","title":{"rendered":"AT&#038;T &#8211; ESRO MOA 20-21A"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Attached is the agreement regarding the current voluntary\nAT&amp;T buyout offer.\n<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If the company doesn\u2019t get enough takers during the first round\n(which is the offer to Maintenance Spicers in the AFO), the Company will go to\na round 2 and extend the offer to C&amp;E and DEG Splicers. &nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If there are still insufficient takers, there will be a round 3 for the Systems Technician title. Round 4 (if necessary) is the Communications Technician title.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>For rounds 2, 3, and 4, the company will backfill for the loss. &nbsp;The backfill will come from the Maintenance Splicer organization. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The last date to submit your paperwork in order to take the\ncurrent offer (for round 1) is&nbsp;Friday, July 10.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In Unity,<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Marisa&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" style=\"text-align:center\">Questions Regarding Buyout<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Here are questions local 9003\nsubmitted to AT&amp;T concerning the current buyout offer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It should be noted that the main question that was asked\nhas to do with the changes we are hearing about from the Company in regards to\ndifferences\/changes in medical benefits that will occur if you don\u2019t leave the\ncompany during this calendar year (2020).&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>That question was answered with the following:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><span style=\"background-color: yellow;\">The Additional questions listed need to be answered by medical benefits. Employees should contact AT&amp;T Benefits Center&nbsp;<a href=\"tel:1-877-722-0020\">1-877-722-0020<\/a>.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>That being said, Local 9003\nrecommends that All employees who need the answer to how these changes apply to\nyou (or any benefit affecting questions) please contact the AT&amp;T Benefits\nCenter so that they can take your specific personal information &#8211; name, age,\nncs date, etcetera and build a profile for you to provide answers to all of\nyour benefit questions.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Here are additional questions and Company responses:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p style=\"text-align:center\"><strong>Question 1<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\n<strong>How is the $25,000 paid out?<\/strong>\n<br>\n<span style=\"background-color: yellow;\">Based on the payout option the employee selects (page 6 of ESRO package).<\/span>\n<br>\n<br>\n<strong>Can employees request that as a separate check?<\/strong>\n<br>\n<span style=\"background-color: yellow;\">No<\/span>\n<br>\n<br>\n<strong>Is it rolled into the (up to) 53 weeks of pay?<\/strong>\n<br>\n<span style=\"background-color: yellow;\">Yes, it is rolled into the weeks of pay (page 9 of ESRO package).<\/span>\n<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p style=\"text-align:center\"><strong>Question 2<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\n<strong>On the rollout calls with management, force balancing was mentioned.  What does that look like?<\/strong>\n<br>\n<span style=\"background-color: yellow;\">Force balancing will be determined based on how many losses a particular location has after it is determined who got ESRO. Management will assess, canvass for available volunteers, and force lest senior if necessary.<\/span>\n<br>\n<br>\n<strong>Ex;  if it goes to a round two to C&#038;E and DEG Splicers, if there are folks from C&#038;E and DEG who want to leave the business, will someone from AFO be forced to go to C&#038;E (assuming there are No volunteers from AFO)?<\/strong>\n<br>\n<span style=\"background-color: yellow;\">No<\/span>\n<br>\n<br>\n<strong>Or would the C&#038;E or DEG person simply not be allowed to leave the business if there are no AFO volunteers to take their spot?<\/strong>\n<br>\n<span style=\"background-color: yellow;\">Per MOA, yes.<\/span>\n<br>\n<br>\n<strong>Same question for Systems Techs and Comm Techs<\/strong>\n<br>\n<span style=\"background-color: yellow;\">The same applies<\/span>\n<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p style=\"text-align:center\"><strong>Question 3<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\n<strong>Are wages earned up to date off payroll and the lump sum two different checks?<\/strong>\n<br>\n<span style=\"background-color: yellow;\">Employees leaving with ESRO would get a final check for wages on the last day worked, 7\/24\/20.
