The fires that are happening California are devastating to our\nmembers.  An official state of emergency has been declared as there are\nhundreds of wildfires continue to blaze throughout the State.  More than\n120,000 acres of land have been scorched in both Northern and Southern\nCalifornia.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Many have been left without power to the unprecedented heatwave\nthat has consumed our State and made the air quality dip below dangerous\nlevels.  The horrific environment that has been affecting our Union\nBrothers and Sisters is the reason I am reaching out to you.  We need to come\ntogether as a Family and help when and where we can.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

District 9 has set up a CWA Disaster Wildfire\nRelief 2020 Fund to help CWA members impacted by the fires. \nEvery dollar donated to the CWA District 9 Disaster Wildfire Relief 2020 Fund\nwill go directly to assist CWA members in need of shelter, clothing and\nhousehold basics.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
