CWA local 9003 Joined labor and community leaders at the Los Angeles County Federation of Labor Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Breakfast to honor Dr. King’s enduring commitment to economic justice, civil rights, and worker power.
Representing Local 9003 were Local Envoy Vice President Keyairria Ferguson, Executive Board Members Sheila Bordeaux and Myesha Glover, and Mobility Area Steward Tiffany Pereau, reflecting our Local’s ongoing engagement with the broader labor movement.
Speakers throughout the program, including CWA President Yvonne Wheeler, reminded attendees that Dr. King was a strong advocate for workers’ rights and understood that economic justice is central to civil rights. At a time when working families are facing high unemployment and economic uncertainty, the message was clear: the power of the labor movement lies in solidarity.
